General Information About Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a procedure that has been used for over 125 years to permanently destroy hair follicles. This fact has been well documented in medical studies and in literature. In 1875, Dr. Charles Michel, an ophthalmologist, invented the procedure to remove ingrown eyelashes. There are many temporary and even long-term methods of hair removal on the market today, but electrolysis remains the only permanent way to rid the face and body of unwanted hair forever. The procedure involves the utilization of a fine pre-sterilized disposable needle/probe that is expertly inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle. A small amount of electrical energy is discharged into the hair follicle, which destroys the hair growth tissue. When this procedure is skillfully accomplished, the regenerative cells of the follicle are permanently destroyed. There are three different modalities that can be used to accomplish permanent hair removal.

Permanent Hair Removal Solutions

Electrolysis is the only method of hair removal that removes unwanted hair permanently. All three modalities explained above are true Electrolysis. If a fine wire probe/needle is not used than electrolysis is not being performed.
